In the rolling high plains of Colorado with a gorgeous backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, lies the town of Wellington. Wellington is located at the northern tip of Colorado's Front Range. The town sits at the intersection of Interstate 25 and Colorado Highway 1 at an elevation of 5,201 feet.  

Demographics

  • Wellington is located in the northeast corner of Larimer County.
  • Wellington has a population of 2,672.
  • Larimer County has a population of 271,927.  

Economy

  • Excellent quality and economically priced homes are available in Wellington.
  • Agriculture remains the primary industry with vegetables, grain crops, sugar beets, alfalfa and cattle as major commodities.
  • However, Wellington is fast growing into a bedroom community of Fort Collins and shares in its diverse economy on the strength of companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, Anheuser Busch, Allegheny Teledyne Waterpick, and Eastman Kodak, as well as Colorado State University.

  • The area is also smog-free.

Location

  • Twenty-six miles north of Wellington is Cheyenne, Wyoming.
  • Ten miles south is Fort Collins and Denver is only 60 miles south down I-25.
