Silverthorne, "the gateway to Summit County", is only about a one hour's drive west of Denver. Dillon is a full service community that lies 2 miles outside of Silverthorne.

Demographics

  • Silverthorne has a year-round resident population of 3,200.
  • Dillon has a year-round resident population of approximately 750.
  • Silverthorne and Dillion are located in Summit County (population of 25,399).

Education

  • Silverthrone and Dillon are a part of the Summit School District which has six elementary schools, one middle school and one high school.
  • Dillon is home of the Colorado Mountain College Summit Campus and both towns are in close proximity to the University of Colorado at Boulder (57 miles), the Colorado School of Mines (60 miles) and Red Rocks Community College (63 miles).
