Fraser is 70 miles west of Denver at an elevation of 8,574 feet . Fraser is in Middle Park in the valley of the Fraser River just four miles northwest of Winter Park.

• Fraser is a part of the East Grand School District with three elementary schools (one of which is located in Fraser), one middle school and one high school.

• Fraser is an excellent base for exploring north central Colorado.

• The valley is surrounded by the Arapaho National Forest and three Wilderness areas: Indian Peaks, Byers Peak and Vasquez.

Hoy depicting scenes from the history of Grand County and Colorado, the Fraser Tubing Hill, a favorite of locals and visitors alike, and the Fraser Experimental Forest, which offers access to camping and several excellent hiking, mountain biking and snowshoe trails, including the challenging Byers Peak trail.
• Fly fishing in the Fraser River St. Louis Creek, Meadow Creek Reservoir or the Colorado River is a favorite summertime activity.

Climate
